IBM SureMark 4610-TG9

The IBM 4610 SureMark Printer Model TG9 is identical to the TI9 except the color is Iron Gray.  It is a high-function model, featuring high-accuracy OCR/MICR reading, check imaging, and faster single pass check handling than previous Models. These functions are critical to the successful implementation of Electronic Check Conversion in US retail accounts. Additional functions offered by Model TI9 include support for Electronic Check Truncation, ECT(Check 21), which will require retailers to image both the front and back side of checks. The Model TG9 has the unique ability to scan both sides of the check and perform all MICR reading and printing operations with a single insertion of the check into the printer. Additional functions in support of ECT include:

• Check image compression algorithms that significantly reduce file sizes of gray-scale check images
• Image Quality Filters which ensure the image produced by the printer will be accepted by the receiving bank
• De-skew algorithms that electronically correct the images of checks that were inserted into the printer misaligned.

This model prints at 52 lines per second and offers support for TrueType fonts. It is capable of printing color thermal papers. This model can be attached to IBM system units via RS485 or USB interface adapters and it may be attached to other POS manufacturers terminals or PCs via RS-232 or USB. This is a two-station model.
